Mozart's Divertimento in B flat major, K 287, was composed in 1777 and first performed on June 16th of that year. A work for two horns and strings- It was composed for Countess
Antonia Lodron, first lady of the court during the years Mozart was active in the court in Salzburg. The families of Lodron and Mozart were neighbors there and shared many social activities. The divertimento, usually a lighthearted work for social functions and performed by a small ensemble.
