Mozart: Flute Quartet No. 3 in C major, K. 285b,

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Flute Quartet No. 3 in C major, K. 285b, is the last of three quartets for the amateur flautist Ferdinand De Jean. Mozart's manuscript designates this work for flute, violin, viola and basso. Despite following directly after the first two flute quartets in the Köchel catalogue, the Quartet in C was almost certainly written a few years later, likely sometime between the years 1781 to 1782.

Flute Quartet No. 2 in G major, K. 285a

The Flute Quartet No. 2 in G major, K. 285a, by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is the second of three quartets for the amateur flautist Ferdinand De Jean, and was likely written between 1777 and 1778; indeed, the composition is listed directly after the Flute Quartet No. 1 in the Köchel catalogue.

K 298 Flute Quartet No 4 in A Major,

The Flute Quartet No. 4 in A major, K. 298,  is Mozart's final composition for flute quartet. Unlike the previous three quartets, written for the flutist Ferdinand De Jean, the Quartet in A is believed to have been written for recreational purposes, as opposed to on commission. The low Köchel number is misleading. The work is thought to have been written sometime in 1786 or 1787, only a few years before the composer's death. WIKIPEDIA

K. 313 The Flute Concerto No. 1 in G major

The Flute Concerto No. 1 in G major (K. 313) was written in 1778 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Commissioned by the Dutch flautist Ferdinand De Jean in 1777, Mozart was supposed to provide four flute quartets and three flute concerti, yet he only completed two of the three concerti: K. 313 being the first. The Andante for Flute and Orchestra K. 315 may have been written as an alternative slow movement for this concerto. The piece is scored for a standard set of orchestral strings, two oboes (which are replaced with two flutes in the Adagio movement), and two horns.

K 314 Flute Concerto No 2 in D Major,

This work was originally written as an Oboe Concerto but now also firmly part of the flute repertoire. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Oboe Concerto in C major, K. 314 was originally composed in Spring or Summer 1777 for oboist Giuseppe Ferlendis (1755–1802) from Bergamo, then reworked by the composer as a concerto for flute in D major in 1778. The concerto is a widely-studied piece for both instruments and is one of the more important concerti for the oboe. Dutch flautist Ferdinand De Jean (1731–1797) commissioned Mozart for four flute quartets and three flute concerti; which Mozart only completed three quartets and only one new flute concerto. Instead of creating a new second concerto, Mozart rearranged the oboe concerto he had written a year earlier as the second flute concerto, although with substantial changes for it to fit with what the composer deemed flute-like. However, De Jean did not pay Mozart for this concerto because it was based on the oboe concerto.
